Do you need to change your cabin air filter?

Do you need to change your cabin air filter?

Do you need to change your cabin air filter? That is a great question and with all that is going on with COVID-19, changing the cabin air filter just is a good idea. These filters filter in your vehicle the air you breathe. When the filter is not changed you breathe in the dirty, clogged filter which isn’t healthy for anyone. If it is just you driving and entering your car then just once a year is fine. I would change it now going forward.  From preventive maintenance to major repairs, Ricks Auto Service, 405 W. How did Siri get it's name

This was in the Forbes Magazine, Adam Cheyer (Co-Founder of Siri), wanted a name that was easy to remember, short to type, comfortable to pronounce, and a not-too-common human name. It was their leading candidate. In Norse it means beautiful woman who leads you to victory"; in Swahili it means "secret". And it's the reverse for Iris. In Thai the definition is glorious, splendid, or auspicious. In the Kannada & Telugu language it means wealth or fotune. So there you have it ... all you needed to know : just a simple shout out "hey Siri" gets you all kinds of infortmation. https://ricksautoservice.org/ #ricksautoservice  #Hey Siri #Coronavirus #Safety #Mishawakamechanic #mishawaautorepair #universityND “Hey Siri”  “auto repair near me” “auto repair” “Mishawaka mechanic” “auto shop” “car repair” “bra ... read more

Battery Draw Check?

Battery Draw Check?

What is a Battery Draw Check? I had to do some research when I took this picture, had some ideal, because i had a similar problem. So, what this is checking for is, when the engine is off, there is still a draw on the battery. Mine turned out that when a car back-ended mine, the trunk was always "on". Usually, this is caused by a short circuit or an electrical device that remains in the "on" position or energized, such as: a Trunk. An under-hood or a glove compartment light. #Battery #Engine #Ricks Auto Service

How do i know when my Honda brakes need to be changed?

How do i know when my Honda brakes need to be changed?

How do I know when my Honda brakes need to be changed? Having your brakes regularly checked can make a difference between small brake job, to a large payment. Here are some of the things we check first: Sometimes steering wheel vibration is because your tires need balancing. Brakes squealing-could be dirt or water on your brake pads. Brake fade may be due to brake fluid contamination. It is serious, but doesn’t necessarily mean new brake. Those are real problems and do need to be checked. Honda brakes last a different length of time for different drivers. Do you mostly drive highway or in town?  Do you ride your brakes and stop sharply which means your brake pads could wear out thousands of miles sooner. And how you brake affects their life expectancy. Honda brakes last between 25,000 and 60,000 miles. If you have any questions or symptoms you might need new brakes, don’t chance it.
