How Fuel Pump works

How Fuel Pump works

Make an Appointment today:  https://www.ricksautoservice.org/appointments  What Does Fuel Pump do? There are 6 Components to your Vehicles Fuel System. Fuel Pump Fuel Tank Fuel Filter Fuel Injectors Carburetor-older models Fuel Line All of these Components work together to supply Fuel to the Engine, fuel mixes with air, the spark plugs ignite the mixture to create power moving the vehicle when it is in drive. Basically, the job the Fuel Pump does is pump Fuel into the Engine, if the Fuel Pump is in the Engine it is powered by car Battery, this Pump is not in the Fuel Tank. This Fuel Pump gets power from the Ignition Circuit, which includes the Ignition Switch. If there is a problem we check the Switch or the Circuit, possibly a wiring problem. #ricksautoservicein #mishawaka #southbend #brakes #Fuel Pump #Fuel System

What does Cabin Air Filter Do?

What does Cabin Air Filter Do?

What does Cabin Air Filter do?  Great question! Have you noticed with summer coming up, we’ve had those hot days where you want to put your Air Conditioning to High, then you get this musty, moldy smell? It could be something as simple as changing your Cabin Air Filter, the filter itself is in your glove box, you could change it yourself. The air inside your vehicle, whether it’s from outside or it recirculates the inside air, goes through your Cabin Air Filter. The job of this filter is to trap those dust, mold, pollen, and other fine particles, this helps those who have asthma or other breathing problems to breathe a little bit healthier.  #ricksautoservicein #mishawaka #southbend #southbend #ACcondenser #ACrepairnearme #ACrepair #Airconditioning repair near me #brakes #mechanic #autorepairshop

Will Timing Chain cause Misfire?

Will Timing Chain cause Misfire?

Will Timing Chain cause Misfire? Your Engine will misfire because your Timing Chain has been stretched from age and everyday wear and tear, once it is stretched the Belt loses integrity causing the chain to skip gears and misfire. When the customer came in his Vehicle sounded rough and rattling, having the misfiring, also the Engine Light was on.                     The Timing Chain links the Crankshaft and the Camshaft allowing combustion in the Cylinders. #RicksAutoService #ricksautoservicein #mechanic #mishawakaindiana #engine #brakes #transmission #timingchain #misfire

What does Potholes do to your car?

What does Potholes do to your car?

What does Potholes do to your car? I do know firsthand that you can pop your Tire, I had that happen and it was a shock. The Pothole can also damage the side of the Wheel, bending the Rim also, the Seal between the Tire and the wheel can be damaged also. After, hitting a Pothole you may notice that the Vehicle is pulling to the right or to the left, getting a Vehicle Alignment should take care of that problem.  #RicksAutoService #ricksautoservicein #mechanic #mishawakaindiana #engine #brakeswitch #brakerepairnearme

Coolant or Antifreeze which is the fluid in your Radiator should be checked about every 50,000 miles, again depends on your driving habits. Power Steering Fluid when that is low steering will become harder as you drive, get that checked out. Brake Fluid is critical (as are all the fluids) over time the Brake Fluid can become contaminated and will compromise your Brakes.
